Arapaho Wilderness Outfitters with another trophy elk harvested in Colorado's Arapaho National Forest

Our 2003 season provided 75% opportunity with 50% harvest ratio.
We also have under exclusive hunting permit in over 2000 acres of BLM land surrounded by private land. We camp on private land which is accessible by truck. Horses are not required for this hunt. On this hunt, (BLM hunt only) cabin and motel pricing is available upon request.
 
Economy or fully guided hunts on both BLM lands or in Arapaho National Forest, GMU #'s 18 and 28 are available - it's your choice!

2008 Fully Guided Hunts Include: guide, three meals a day, tents, air mattresses/cots, stoves, use of horses during hunts (as required), pack in and pack out you and your gear, game retrieval, we pack your game out to the trail head. All hunts will be 7 day trips – 5 actual hunt days – 2 days to pack in and out.

NEW! If fully guided clients wish to furnish their own food and do the cooking themselves, we now offer a $150.00 discount per paid hunt.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your hunt. Final payment is due 65 days before hunt.

We offer a pack-in/out service and game retrieval within our permitted area. Fee is $250.00 per horse, per trip. No additional charge for the wrangler/guide.

Economy Semi-Guided Elk or Mule Deer Hunts

(8 Clients per camp)

2008 Semi-Guided Hunts Include: tents, air mattresses/cots, stoves, cooking gear (pots and pans, plates, cups, utensils etc.) coolers, condiments, coffee. We pack you, your personal gear and food, in and out of camp. Hunters must field dress and quarter their own game and get it to a horse accessible trail.  NOT included: Camp cook or food. All hunts will be 7 day trips – 5 actual hunt days – 2 days to pack in and out.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your hunt. Final payment is due 65 days before hunt.

Colorado Hunting Notes & Dates

Elk population is the above objective on the approximately 70 square miles of the Arapaho National Forest area bordering Rocky Mountain National Park.

Deadline for Applications: April 2nd

Operating under a Special Use Permit within GMU #'s 18 and 28 of the Arapaho National Forest.

Important Hunting Trip Information

Please pack all personal items in duffel bags that are no longer than 36" and weighing no more than 75 lbs. maximum.

Alcoholic beverages are not provided nor allowed in camp.

Reminder: A hunters safety card is required for those hunters born after January 1, 1949

 

Elk from Colorado's designated wilderness areas are frequently exceptional animals.
Our hunting grounds are not overrun with other hunters. It's really more like hunting private land.
